I made a program to display a simple cross hair on the middle of the screen with visual basic, i got it to work and all but...

when i open combat arms (its a FPS GAME) it hides behind the game.

and yes i have it set to always on top, but it doesn't work for a full screen game

please help?

What I think is going on is the game itself is changing the cursor to Nothing, and you are changing it to a crosshair. The game is changing it to nothing while you change it back. Maybe put it in a timer with a interval of 10 to update the cursor to a crosshair every 10 milliseconds. Maybe the game won't be able to keep up.

Or the game has an event for the cursor to just be hidden so nothing you do will make it show unless its modified, if that makes sense :P

Try Windowed mode?

OR

Create crosshair from paper and glue it to your screen... FYI, if theres no crosshair and you make one, thats cheating...

If the Game does not have any Crosshair then u should make a Program that always follows your Cursor and Replace Cursor with your Crosshair.

If u was meaning that then maybe i can Help,i already have a Idea.

I don't think the timer thing to update will work, i read something about hooking visual basic with DirectX?

i have no idea on that though..

and yes the game has a cursor already, but i want to have a stable one.

hmm :\ well your right about the hooking etc.
