It is normal to get a bluescreen when moving an existing Windows installation to different hardware.
You will want to put the original HAL.dll and ntoskrnl.exe from your windows installer disk onto the drive before you swap it, this will allow the machine to detect a different hard disk controller, as well as other system devices.

If you have swapped the HAL and the problem is still occuring, it might help to know which bluescreen code you are getting.
