Hello
I am trying to create a launcher that will check for updates for multiple files and create a file inside a dir that will tell if the launcher is registered or not.
and if it is not you can have the ability to register your product and have a key to register it with.

Internet = less secure and easier to crack.
Registry = a little more secure but still easy to crack if you find the key

You wonna have a Program with Register Function and Save the Key somewhere ?!
U could save the Key(s) in a Text File on a FTP Server,but Encrypt the Keys so no one can read it.

it would probable be better to encrypt a file with about being suspicous. Like:
Instead of registered.vkey or something it would be 029xoem.xli

U could also store the Keys in a Text File which is in a Special Folder and Secure that Folder with a Password and make it Invisible for User,i saw some Code for that + Encrypting the Keys...then its Secure enough i think.

Well, it would certainely be preferable as the keys would have to remain secret to everyone but the person registering it.

What is I made it a file read
like version number and then
the corresponding key like in a MySQL database.
it would read the id number in the database and know what key it is and if it is a valid key or not
