I would just use the most common ones otherwise it might be confusing for (younger)people. Just my opinion :)

yup as Axel said for icelandic kronur the symbol is Kr.
isk = Kr,
cad = $,
nok = Kr(i think),
chf = ₣(i think),
dkk = Kr(i think),
sek = Kr(i think),
jpy = ¥
