Raspberry Pi
CodenStuff
Cheapest (quite possibly smallest) computer ever

I have been following the progress of this little device known as Raspberry Pi for a while now and yesterday I read the great news that it will hopefully be available to buy at the end of January and the amazing thing is it will only cost around £25/$33.

The Raspberry Pi is basically a computer shrunk down to the size of a credit card and designed to get kids learning about computers/electronics and programming without needing to spend a fortune to do it. Its an amazing device with Ethernet, USB, SD Card, ARM 700mhz CPU, 256mb ram and HDMI connectors almost everything you would find in a standard PC motherboard and it will run off an open source version of Linux. Take a look at the video below to see just how small yet powerfull this device is:
Im amazed at how powerfull this is and for such a low price tag its mind boggling. You could use this for all sorts of things like a home server, video/music/radio streamer, game server and some of the other potential uses talked about in their forums like car tracking, temperature monitors, CCTV, egg timer (lol) ..but no seriously although it may not have the power of a current PC it is still a powerfull device and people are already talking about putting them into micro computer cases with DVD, HDDs to make cheap PCs for those who cant afford to spend £100s on a new computer.

Hopefully I will be able to get my hands on one and give it a try it out in a few weeks and to anyone else interested you should really check it out.

Looking forward to this in the new year cooll;

Oh yeah, I heard about thoses. I might buy one once they come out, but I had read they were going to come out in December. Also, it said they would only make 10 000 of them first to see if they would sell, so whoever wants to get the first batch better be quick.
