IP Address Conflict
Anything not covered in the other sections like Computer trouble - Hardware Issues - Upgrades and other technical stuff to be asked in here please.
Hello again Codenstuffers. I have noticed that you guys don't pay much attention to the Technical Support section. So I am posting this here. (You can move it there after it's solved, lol). So, I keep on getting this message on my P4 computer about some IP Address Conflict with some other System. This is also one of the reasons due to which I formatted it even though I knew it won't be solved cuz it's a network problem. So how can I prevent this error? I have some info about it but first I'll see your replies.
Thanks.
Thanks.
It is most likely that either your router/DHCP server is trying to give the same address to another device, or you have manually configured a device that is also using the same address.

If it is a fault with your router/DHCP server then you may have to log in and alter the configuration.
If you have assigned a duplicate address you will need to change it.

I get this message really often in win 7 after I leave sleep mode. I still have Internet connection even though the message tells me I cant access any page. Just ignore it.

@mandai, Can you tell me in detail how to solve the problem? I didn't touch anything in there but I was just trying to port forward (which in the end failed). Maybe I messed up something there. Please help me out. I saw an article which said to reset it using cmd and it worked but again after like 8-10 hours, it started popping.
I just press OK on the message and dont care about it, it pops up several times later too but keep clicking ok.

Umm, it doesn't pop up like a message box but it appears in the taskbar, notification area. I think it doesn't makes much sense, but a tooltip appears and not a message box.
Ohh rite, its a message box coming at me.
