Ooops....
smashapps
Okay so on my pc I have 2 partitions, one was a backup that had the original factory settings on their I think. I removed that partition without knowing that so I had more memory I can use. I installed a different OS and it didn't work so my pc was not usable. I don't have the disk for this pc and I cannot do a factory restore anymore. Used an old Windows 7 disk of mine which I've used before got it installed but the key doesn't work so now I need to purchase a new key all because I removed the backup partition.

wow who knew one simple mistake can do such damage?

That's really bad luck  I guess you really should not remove that backup partition ;)

I. I've done nearly the same :P Try to burn Ubuntu Live to a CD and boot from that. It was that way I fixed my pc. Do you get any error like 'Multiple active partitions' or what does it say? I might he able to help you :)

If its a genuine Win7 disc and youve got the sticker on your PC etc then just phone microsoft support and they will probably give you a new key or I think there is an option to activate over phone somewhere :?

If you created a restore disk you might be able to use that, or you might be able to get one from your manufacturer.
It would be best to back up any important data first.

I have no restore disk, and my pc is a 64 bit operating system came with no disk just had image files to do a factory restore if needed which I removed without knowing and the disk I used is an old one of mine I've used it before won't let me use it again and it's a 32 bit installation so all my programs I still do have on USBs etc won't run now and I've lost my drivers, I don't have the disk for my Ethernet driver need to get it online
