I'm talking about Codenstuff.com, it will soon give birth to a brand new site called Codevoo



(Temp logo - all rights reserved - copyright - tm - other legal cr*p that means nothing lol)

That's Code-Voo, a mix of coding and voodoo :P

This site will (eventually) host various services that will allow people to create and built better more feature rich apps in the future by offering data/file storage through dedicated API's.

One of the biggest complaints we've seen about app development is that the apps you create are flat, localised, built for the individual user and I also know that a lot of you have become lost searching for new ideas on what to create next, as a result a lot of you have gotten bored and hit a bit of a coding brick wall.

We want to give you to get back in to coding and getting your imagination buzzing again and creating new and exciting apps, apps that are no longer flat and localised. With these new services you will be able to energise your apps with online interactivity such as:

User to User messaging
High score tables and turn based play for games
File sharing/transfers
Support ticket/mailing systems
Allow users to save app settings/configurations

Almost any online interaction your imagination can think of.

Some of you have tried to do this in the past but can't find the right service or you can't afford the hosting or are too young to get the services you need...well, Codenstuff has always been about helping its users and offering good quality support for free.

Codevoo will also be FREE.

It's not ready yet but when it is you'll be the first to know and you will be able to find it here: Codevoo.com

Now the site will include a forum and it will mainly be for help and support on how to use the different services, it won't be as big as the one here at Codenstuff.com but I'm looking for people who have the time and are willing to help moderate and take care of our new baby.

If you're interested in becoming a member of our moderation family then please reply to this topic with a reason why you think you would be the perfect person for the job..think of it as an interview :lol:

I would gladly help out, considering this forum is the reason I know am good at programming. I have experiences in html, css, php, and javascript (jQuery) when it comes to web. I previously ran my own website, partly a forum (phpBB) and blog (Wordpress), which I modded to suit my needs. When it comes to desktop I have experience in VB.NET and C#, and MySQL. I've also bridged the two systems through API's + XML/JSON .

Considering I don't have the resources to run my own forum, I would gladly treat Codevoo (with care) as my own ;) .

I would suggest adding push notification service.

I would love to apply as a mod because I've been round the CodenStuff for several years now and I like keeping stuff cleaned and organised. I'm also good with english and croatian (which is pretty similar to serbian, bosnian etc.) I'm also found at web programming (php, html, css, mysql, js) and know how to moderate a forum and enforce the rules.

IMO it will be better if you merge "codevoo" with this site, makes it more popular, splitting each kind of site into its own will only make it less popular, just my opinion i think

Seriously, this is going to create so much potential for new and exciting apps to be made. Just the settings/configuration saving alone is amazing, because users will be able to use your app across devices/platforms without losing data.

As for moderation, I'd be glad to lend a hand. I honestly think I haven't done too bad of a moderating job on here, and I'd be glad to keep the CNS community safe and friendly across websites

The main reason I decided to create a separate site for Codevoo is so that its use doesn't bog/slow down or interfere with this site.

Codevoo will have a forum but it's not intended to be a community like here on Codenstuff, it will mainly be for support and help on the services available.

This is something I have been looking in to and would really love to do, but it requires a lot of server power because PUSH requires a constant connection between the user/server/service - and all that power = expensive lol. dunnno;
