Hello guys & girls, some of you know me and some of you don't.
My name is Scottie. I am a very old member here and also a Moderator.
I have been away for a long time, but I am hoping to have more time to
hang out on my favorite coding website, Codenstuff.com.
For some time now I have been working on many versions of a desktop
application where you can create and store various code snippets. As
a programming I find it useful. Snippet Library keeps all my code snippets
in one easy to find place.
Many years ago, We had a application called "CNS Desktop". It was a very
cool thing to use and to create "Add-Ins" for. Well, Codenstuff was nice
enough to share much of his code for CNS Desktop. At this time he just wanted
Codenstuff.com members to learn and have fun doing "Add-Ins" and usng
the CNS Desktop application. (Cody, we should get back into that project)
So after years of playing and Try Catch boxes...
I have decided on a simple design and function. Below I give a screenshot of
the new build. It is not ready for release. But, I will release it (FREE) here on
Codenstuff.com.
All the "Librarys", where the code snippets are kept are "Add-Ins". But I call
them "Plugins". This was there is no limit on anything! I will have a "Plugin Templates"
available for download with instructions on how to create Plugins and using other
system *.dll" files that SL2015 uses.
So please just hang out, and keep coding.
I will release this as soon as I have a couple of different types of Plugins built.
And, to make sure there is no weird stuff in the code.

Hi Scottie, long time no see. Welcome back
I'm glad to see you're still working on Snippet Library, it's looking good so far... looking forward to trying it out!

Great to see you back again Scottie
Also really good to see that Snippet Library is still alive a kicking. I do hope to get back in to my projects such as CnS Desktop eventually but at the moment I have so much stuff going on that I barely know what I'm doing from one day to the next lol. I'm still actively coding though and have some stuff on the way.

ok so here is a test release...
it comes with a "PlugIn Template" that should be pretty straight forward on editing.
Just a few images and edit I think to files. Class1.vd and UserControl1.vd
There is a ".txt" file that is more helpfull.
as normal any problems or issues, send me a message or and email.
UPDATE:
I had to delete this download. Seems there was a bad memory leak with it.
I tried to repair it, but with no luck. I am almost complete with a total
rebuild with seems to be a lot better and works a little faster as well.
This build uses the XML Format like Visual Studio's Snippet files.
