Coding time?
CodenStuff
Code sessions...

How many of you still code (any language or platform) and how often and for how long do you code?

I still code for hours on a daily basis, whether it be VB or web related PHP, HTML and CSS. I have to admit the website(s) has taken up a LOT of my time this past year or so and that is the reason why I haven't submitted many tutorials or apps on the site.

I remember when we all use to code well in to the early hours of the morning and everyone posted tuts, projects and code snips on the site...I dreaded logging on some days because I knew they would be loads of new topics and posts that would need moderating :P ...I miss the fun and buzz of it all.

I blame video games, stop playing mine craft and get some coding done darn it :lol:

I can understand people may have become "bored" with VB, C# and reached the limits of what they can do with it...but that doesn't mean you have to stop coding, there's loads of other languages you could learn and use, or is something stopping you from doing it? - if so then what?

Web and mobile app development is a good thing to get in to right now but maybe you have barriers preventing you from taking it up, maybe you really want to get in to it but find you're too young to access an app store or pay for access to an app store to show off your creations - if so then tell us about it and I'm sure someone here (including myself) would have access to an app store and be more than happy to submit apps on your behalf.

We've had some realy talented coders full of potential on here over the years and its sad to think that most of you have probably given up, but if the only reason you've stopped is because of a "barrier" (age, access to software etc) then let us know and we will try to help, that's why we're here.

People need to code again...come on boogy;

Well,

I'm coding from time to time on some personal projects, but I have no time or interest to post it.. It either takes too much time or I'm not in a mood of posting it on forums. I also have school related stuff, from writing essays, practicing or studying.. A lot of my time is also taken by cycling and such, I cycle every day to school and drive around the region on the weekends doing over 100 kilometers per week. From the projects I'm working on, one would definitely be a personal website/blog, primarily for CAS (#codex will know) and everything else. You can see a screenshot below. It's still in a pretty much work in progress stage but I'm getting somewhere.

I also might start a project with 2 of my classmates. School related, no clue what, will keep you posted.

Amazing colour scheme provided by yours truly, #comathi clapper; wahooo;

To be quite honest, school has taken over more and more of my time. That, couple to extremely poor time management skills, means my time for coding is very rare.

I'm always thinking of projects, cool stuff to do, and sometimes I start working on it, but I rarely finish.

It's a real shame, I know, and I really want to get back into the groove of things... Hopefully the upcoming winter break will allow me to review how I manage my time, and hopefully I'll be able to get some coding done beforehand cooll;

I'm busy with my studies and I assume I'll remain busy with them my whole life as I'm a pre-medical student.

The last time I coded stuff was during the Mad March this year. After that, I started 're-learning' HTML and learning CSS along with it. Can't even get time for that.

I too remember and actually miss those days when I got to view 30+ new posts every time I logged into the site. I wish those days come back. Those were good, tension-free days.

Ahhhh #Filip the font is hurting my eyes. CAS is really a joke Filip, I just sit 10 mins on html/css and that is my 1 hour of Creativity for 1 week :P, and then add some "tutorials" and call that Service lol. #IBRUINED

I really love to code. My procrastination is coding/web designing, whether it be html/css/php or simply looking at dribbble. This is my last year studying secondary education, next year I have university, hopefully I will choose something which I have passion for ;)

I work two part time jobs, and am going to school for psychology, and computer science.

I want a degree in industrial engineering, chemical engineering, and become an RN/Registered Nurse along with acquiring an ADN/Associate Degree in Nursing.

If I'm not working, or studying. I'm building experimental alternative energy devices, or working on Mirrored Mockup Design.

I'd like to work on Mirrored Mockup Design more. The hardest part has been playing with layers integration, along with getting other developers to collaborate.

I got my ACTION certification a few months back. It's the only free credible/legal certification out there. My next one will be NSCA. When I was studying for what certification I wanted all I could find was certifications that were very expensive, and you've come across that a lot. I only do calisthenics which is pure body weight exercises (reason: you are your own limitation; enough said) So if price is an issue for you like it is me, you may want to give the ACTION certification a try.

Also some places (all depends on management) will hire a personal trainer as a Physical Therapist, or Physical Therapist Aide you just have to show the manager that you're qualified for the job and you know what you're doing. As far as I'm aware of these two occupations do not require a degree, but I maybe wrong; it usually depends on the management.

You can read and download the book here, or you can pay $30 for the physical textbook and it'll be mailed to your home (shipping not included).

Fat personal trainers don't get many clients, if any at all; it's important to remember you're the example you want your clients to see.
