Need Some Help With Computer!
Usman55
Hello Everyone,

Today I just came back from my school and thought that I will have a look at my wonderful files to become calm. As soon as I opened my first application, the error occurred something like The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application. It was the same error that I described before in my two earlier posts. I don't know why this happened. Before going to school, it was all working fine. No one has opened my computer till then. Nor my small brother or sister. Because there is a password on the computer. Please reply ASAP.

Thank you.

These error messages may be caused by the WORM_KLEZ.E virus, or one of its variations. The executable file name "qbw32[xxx].exe" may vary, where "[xxx].exe" is a randomly generated and false executable name.

Run norton antivirus or macafee antivirus and check ur comp for viruses....
that shoudl solve ur problem
I finally got it fixed i did a virus check with Nortons at first and it didnt find it then i uninstalled Nortons and installed McAfee 2008 it found the virus and removed it everything working great now...I would recommend installing McAfee and seeing if that helps everyone out.

I had this problem several months ago....
I formated mu HD many times since then...but it was a hijacker virus that caused the error to start appearing.

Hi Usman55
I did a search with the error code you posted and found a site where someone else had the same problem, this below is his reply when he fixed the problem.
.............................................................

I solved the problem! I remembered that I had a free copy of PremiumBooster Registry Cleaner, and ran it - and now my programs run properly again!

I still don't know what caused the problem, though. I did a search on that virus you named, and found out that it generally installs an executable called WINK in the Windows folder, as well as some registry keys, but none of the files mentioned were on my computer, so I don't think it was that. Some of the other sites that mentioned the error code I got talked about problems with their printers (sites that talked about 0xc000007b seemed to be split three ways between printer problems, WORM_KLEZ.E, and compiling Visual C++ applications without having .NET installed), so perhaps it was related to that. Anyway, I'm sticking with AVG for the time being (as long as the error doesn't occur again).
................................

And here is another post by someone else commenting on the same problem

......................................................................
What i think is happening (maybe), is when you boot up, some application that was on your computer, and not properly uninstalled for one reason or another, attempts to start, fails, and comes up with that message. If that is what is happening this is what i suggest you doing: Click Start> Run> Type in "msconfig"> You will see a dialog box. > Go over to startup> Uncheck anything that you see that shouldn't start up. If you don't know what it is, go over to the location area, and see where it starts, it might give you a better idea.

You may also go to the Services area of that dialog. Be sure to first**** Click Hide all microsoft services **** then if you see anything in there also, do the same as before. Don't get too click happy, but if you notice something that says, GOM player, when you don't have gom player installled anymore, then definately remove it ;-). After a reboot it will come up with a message that says something was edited, yada yada, just click don't show this message again.

IF that doesn't work, and i don't look back on this to see if you make this clearer, i suggest you download something called CCleaner, which is a free program. Google it. Do the registry cleaner and delete the junk you don't need using it too.
........................................................................
Nery put a Link on here a while back for a FREE Program called IORBIT, I just had a quick look for it and could not find it, as i cant remember where he posted it ;) but if you do a search on google and then download it and set it up it has a whole manner of Program fixes within in ( I have been running it on my computer for about 2 months or so and it is really helpfull.

Hope this helps

regards

Chris

I remeber this virus happening...

Plus you have tobe connectted to internet to get a virus. Floppies, USB, External HD, a self burned CD/DVD any media can contain a virus....most viruses that I know of like to travel through LAN connections also. SO if you have multiple computer on one network, chances are they are all infeacted.

Hello Everyone,

I remember that the first time that this problem occured, I had previously used a USB of my friend to insert some photos into my computer. This time also I used an MP3 player of my friend to insert some Songs into my computer through USB. And again the problem occurred.

But I also think that the problem is not the virus because after the problem had occurred the first time and I formatted my computer, the same problem occurred the next day without using any USBs.

Other than that, I think I should download an anti-virus into my computer and run it.

I'll need some help later. For now bye and:

Thank you.
