Hello guys,

I bought my laptop TOSHIBA Satellite L655-10U this last April for QR. 3500 (or 3600). Now in December, the same store has a laptop TOSHIBA Satellite L755-M1GO for QR. 2900. It has exactly the same specs, instead it has double the VRAM i.e. 1GB. How can there be so much difference between the prices of almost the same laptops? Is the price of electronics falling down so quickly?

That's evolution, I remember when I bought my phone.
It was the awesome thing, but then 3 month's later they announced the same phone but a little upgraded, I was so disappointed lol. And I know this probable wont really answer your question idoit;

At the Moment (as we are in a Reccession) the most cheap things to buy right now are Consumer Electronics, ie, Laptops, etc.

While Food is going through the roof, Electronics are comming way down in Price..

My laptop cost £750.00 when new a few years back and you can buy better spec in the shops now for less than £300.00..

Thats Life, as soon as you buy something there is a better one available and usually Cheaper

My Dad has a IBM 5150 computer from the 80's that cost him about $1000 (thats about $2500 in today's money). Today we can get computers that work much better, are much smaller, and have many new features for about $300

As parts get smaller, less material is required, and prices are much lower.

When something is first release they market that product for as much as they can, it is something I learnt in my business class.

They do that so they can make as much as possible until people realize there are cheaper and better ones available and for a much lower price, then in time such product will go down in price.

Until something new comes out they leech everyone's money as much as they can then drop the price and also when something doesn't sell as much the price will drop.

Yeah, smashapps. For example, TOSHIBA QOSMIO model costs about QR. 9k right now with 8GB RAM, 1 GB Video card, 750 GB HDD, DVD-RW and some other features. I would love it to dive down to 7k in an year lol.
