Yes, it's almost there!! Apple is about to hit the 25 billion downloads milestone for its App Store. You can view the countdown here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/25-billion-app-countdown/
The 25-billionth person to download an app from the Store has a chance to win 10 000$ in App Store gift cards

I've read that the Countdown (Countup) is counting automatically, not the actual amount of apps downloaded.

I think its counting downloads, not automatically. Why would Apple do anything else?

I'm guessing the downloads are happening too fast for the widget to count them precisely. But I'm sure Apple is not faking the numbers :lol:
