Hey Guys,
Yesterday when I had turned my laptop on it failed to start up. When it went to the "Staring Windows" screen no logo was shown and afterwards it would go to black screen and stay like that.
I used the recovery options (I have a Toshiba Satelite something) and used the Startup repair option. It's supposed to take a few minutes, I left it running for 9 and a half hours. It was still running and not doing anything so I ran a System Restore. The Restore failed and did nothing.
After this I used the Return to Factory Settings, everything of mine is now lost at this point, windows is now re installed.
Turning on my laptop now gives me a blue screen of death for half a second and then restarts, and just keeps repeating.
I pressed F8 on my laptop to go into the Advanced Boot menu and disabled Restart on error option. The screen stays on the BSOD and gave me the message "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME".
My laptop came with no recovery disks or installation disks. I can't do anything else on my laptop.
My laptop will turn on, say loading windows files, starting windows and then finally - stay on a black screen.
What are my options from here? I can't seem to do anything about it.

You could install Ubuntu Live on a CD/DVD and boot from that. When it have started, open the Terminal and type "sudo gparted". When GParted has opened, you can see each partition your PC has and see which of them are the "boot" partition.
If there are no boot partition, or it is the wrong one, right click the one you want to boot from and press "Change Flags" (or something similar). Check 'Boot' and click OK.
Now to apply the changes, press on a little button with a green 'V' like letter and wait
I hope that made sense lol I'm kinda sleepy

I've downloaded Xubuntu, For some reason when burning to a CD with ImgBurn it stays on Writing LeadIn or 0%, or while burning it will come up with errors and just stop burning. The version I have is the Desktop i386.
Edit: Sorry, I'm tired too. I'll try downloading and burning a Ubuntu Live CD.

I would try to run a memory test then a hard drive test.
You might find these options in the BIOS screen or you can use the memtest/mhdd utilities.

Maybe when your computer got hacked, the virus you had was quite smart and managed to mess up your boot sequence, well if you can't burn the cd, you can buy them for like 1 pound on ebay. Buy it on ebay, when it comes use it and do what Aksel said
My laptop is a Pay as you go laptop and has warranty.
I called Radio Rentals (Electrical retailer where I got my laptop) and they told me to contact Dr. PC.
So today I've done that they're coming to take a look at my laptop, if they don't fix it then it will then be sent back to Radio Rentals for repair/replacement.
Thanks for your help guys.
